Loretta is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor- registered (LPCC 11672) who provides individual, dyadic (infant-parent), and group psychotherapy. She is also available for parent coaching services where she provides individualized positive and attachment-based parenting support for children under 5 years old. Her specialties include working with very young children and their families that struggle with trauma, maternal mental health issues, parenting challenges, and self-esteem challenges. She is focused on enhancing the quality of life for families and individuals through compassionate counseling and evidence-based practices. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, attachment-focused, and client-centered.
Loretta is an equity-minded, compassionate, culturally responsive therapist for mothers and babies, individuals of all races, genders, ethnicities, she understands and illuminates the critical care needs of Black communities, and bias in mental health systems. She is striving to make a difference in how communities of color view mental health and create change in how those communities are cared for by professionals. She has prior work experience in perinatal home visiting programs, and as an early childhood educator. Loretta has experience in providing parent psychoeducation groups, parent coaching, and early mental health intervention utilizing MI, DBT, CBT, etc., with a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective.
