Los Angeles, California 90042, United States

Born and raised in Southern California, I am a therapist and Black womxn but also someone who has been in your shoes as a client. My desire is to make the process of finding a therapist understandable and uplifting for you. I firmly believe we all have the ability to heal ourselves and doing so with professional help can be even more powerful. I applaud you for taking another step towards doing your inner work. Tending to your deeper pain and learning healthy ways of managing your pain is one of the most uncomfortable yet life changing decisions you will make.

Pain is often a sign that certain aspects of our inner life need our loving attention. I am passionate about helping my clients get to the root of their challenges while also reclaiming their unique strengths which help them overcome the legacy of their pain. This pain may be generational, ancestral, self-inflicted or due to a series of upsetting events in your life. As a therapist, I help clients find solutions and regain their balance with an understanding of energy work, racial trauma and the mind-body connection all within a depth approach to therapy. As my client, you can expect a compassionate, soul-centered, trauma-informed and culturally affirming approach.

After earning my BA in Psychology from San Francisco State University, I earned my MA in Counseling from Washington State University. I am in the process of completing my doctorate in Couple and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology - Los Angeles with a focus on the impact of racism, classism and sexism on caregivers’ mental health and parent child relationships. The bulk of my former clinical experience has been with high-risk trauma clients in community mental health before joining private practice. I am certified in a number of trauma-informed and somatic based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Reiki Level 1. Lastly, I provide mental health consultation services in the U.S. and abroad (Africa) for private businesses and community mental health agencies. Please feel free to visit my website to learn more about my background. I would be happy to answer your questions over a 15-minute consult call. There, we can see if I can be a helpful ally for you on your healing journey.
