My name is Lilleanna “Lillie” Young and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. Le’Ann Solmonson, Ph.D, LPC-S, CSC, EMDR. I obtained my Masters of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling & Bachelors in Music at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mental Health is often an underrated, neglected phenomenon. I believe Mental Health care is a marathon, not a race. It’s a healthy journey tailored to fit each individual’s needs to overcome challenges, build happiness, & develop balance towards our overall self-actualization. Knowing and doing are different. I believe we all possess the ability to know what we need but the difficulties lie within doing what we know we need. During sessions we’ll work to identify needs & fulfill those needs. Because each person & our experiences are different I operate from an Eclectic therapeutic approach; Utilizing Solution-focused brief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), & Mindfulness to consider all aspects of the whole person.
Helping is my passion & what I truly believe is placed as my calling. Those close to me often tell me I never meet a stranger. They describe me as being friendly, genuine, open, respectful, honest & direct. I am diverse working with males & females ranging from ages 25 - 65, who may need assistance with anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, low esteem, & psychoeducation. Through this journey together we can seek what lies within, which is happiness!
