Lillar Burton holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Governor State University. Her clinical specialties include working with adults, adolescents and children who are experiencing depression, have a history of trauma, anxiety, and other mood disorders, as well as women’s issues and phase of life problems. Although primarily operating from a psychodynamic lens, she finds great success in an integrative approach, tailoring techniques that best fit her client’s needs, and blending elements that lend in helping clients reach their full potential. Other approaches she tends to pull from are client-centered and strengths-based approaches in her attempt to guide clients on their path of discovery and change. Finally, she recognizes the value of the therapeutic relationship and seeks to provide a safe, empathetic and authentic healing environment.
