Description
I have extensive knowledge and experience working with a variety of mental health and social issues concerning adolescents(13-17), adults, couples, and families. I use what is known as an "generalist" approach to therapy, meaning that I draw from many different counseling theories, such as Cognitive processing therapy (for individuals experiencing trauma), Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Person-centered counseling, Solution-focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I believe that the therapeutic process begins upon you deciding to seek treatment; therefore my personal goal to "make a difference" continues to be a driving force in providing quality treatment, which begins with, setting an atmosphere that is inviting, accessible, and culturally sensitive.
The following are an example of some of the issues I am able to address.....
Anger Management
Anxiety
Depression
Domestic Violence
Infidelity
Life Coaching
Life Transitions
Marital
Parenting
Peer Relationships
Racial Identity
Relationship Issues
Stress
Trauma and PTSD
Women's Issues
