Description
I believe that traumatic experiences and inner trauma wounds play a vital role in how we show up in the world. I believe that trauma shapes who we become as an adult, the type of relationships that we choose, and sometimes the decisions that we make within our personal life. I also believe that we do not have to live our lives through our trauma lens and our trauma narrative. I believe that we can live a life of peace, joy, and harmony when we heal from internal wounds. We can be our best self when we can process our trauma history and identify the wounded parts of us that need to be healed.
I recognize that trauma sometimes manifests in specific mental health issues/ disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, anxiety/depression disorders/symptoms, personality disorders, and grief and loss symptoms. I am a trained EMDR therapist that is passionate about working with individuals that need a safe space to share their story and heal.
When working with others, I strive to meet individuals where they are while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral therapy/techniques, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral therapy, EMDR therapy/techniques, and mindfulness techniques. I am also comfortable implementing Faith based counseling upon request.
My passion is working with individuals that need a safe place to address childhood trauma issues, traumatic experiences/PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship/family dynamic issues, and grief and loss. I am a trained EMDR therapist that believes that healing takes place when a therapeutic atmosphere is created.
I strive to meet people where they are while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral therapy, play therapy, EMDR therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I am also comfortable implementing Christian counseling as requested.
