As a black-mixed race, Puerto Rican & female therapist, I am particularly attuned to the difficulties that can accompany one's experience of multiple and intersecting identities including race, culture, religion, gender, sexual preference, class, ability and illness. I work from an integrative, culturally curious, and social-justice informed perspective to provide creative and collaborative counseling that accommodates each person’s unique experiences, needs, strengths, and goals. I enjoy facilitating growth and liberation from internalized oppression, racial and intergenerational trauma.
I also have significant experience guiding clients through the processing of other varying types of trauma, bereavement, grief, and loss, including the more ambiguous losses that are often unspoken or stigmatized and occur in response to difficult major life events, decisions, or transitions.
I have completed advanced training in maternal mental health, perinatal grief and loss and play therapy. I welcome the opportunity to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
