Description

The process of finding a therapist can be nerve-wracking. You might be overwhelmed with your thoughts or frustrated with self-criticism. You may have gone through difficult experiences or have strained relationships with family. Even if you don't feel like you need anyone, you may still feel lonely and unsure of where to start. Life can be hard, with challenges like navigating dating or making friends as an adult, dealing with isms like racism and sexism, and wanting to speak your truth without being perceived as angry. I’m invested in helping you through your challenges. I bring my heart to this work and I’d love to explore if we are a fit.

I specialize in treating trauma in Black people and have been doing so for 13 years as a therapist. My training began in the Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment model during my practicum experience and continued as a community-based therapist providing crisis in-home services for children and families. Now, owner of The Reese Collective, a group practice dedicated to promoting quality therapeutic and consultative services in our community. I incorporate my years of experience and training in trauma with Black people into practice using tools such as EMDR, Faith and Spirituality's impact on the brain, and Somatic Interventions, as well as being a Certified Enneagram Coach with a unique lens of the Black experience.
