I chose to pursue a career in counseling with children, teens, & adults due to personal experiences that occurred during her childhood. My goal is to help children/teens & adults remove barriers such as mental illness & trauma to help give them a healthy foundation to accomplish their goals throughout life despite their current circumstances. I aim to serve as a reminder to youth & adults that a positive life after pain & frustration is possible with the right tools & coping skills. My goal is to remind clients that their strength & value comes from within. I believe in forming a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients to help them take an active role in their healing.
Although I utilize various therapy models to best address clients’ concerns, I describe herself as an attachment-based therapist with a belief that the relationship that infants/children have with their primary caregivers is the foundation of relationships that they will have with others throughout their adulthood. My goal is to help clients build or rebuild healthy attachment styles that will allow them to form healthy emotional & physical relationships as adults.
