Description
As a therapist it is an honor to work with children and their families, couples, and mothers focusing mental health at all stages of motherhood, womxn's issues, and racial trauma. Our sessions are focused with the understanding that every family and individual’s story is unique. There is no one path. The goal is to help you understand the path you are on and how you can embrace, question, challenge, change, and ultimately grow along your journey.
The trainings I have received are in EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), trauma-focused CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), EMDR, and play therapy techniques. I am also certified in the use of the AIM-HI intervention. AIM-HI is an evidence-based intervention used with a goal of decreasing challenging behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder.
This is a, brave step towards healing from past traumas, disappointments and even beginning to uncover the mysteries of your life story. It would be an honor to join you, your child, or your partnership, on this journey of discovery whether it be through learning, talking, playing, or creating.
It is also a privilege that I am able to hold space for Black Womxn in group form. The goal is to support participants in finding some tools, moments of healing, and tap into self love all within community.
