I tailor my therapeutic orientation to fit the needs of the client. I am not a “one size fits all” therapist; I know that each person comes with unique sets of experiences, identities, and worldview that impact their actions, the way that they process life experiences and the way that they view the world around them. The root of my counseling includes cognitive behavioral techniques, which means I will aid the client in recognizing, and ultimately changing, underlying irrational thoughts and beliefs that affect their actions in a negative manner. I also utilize client-centered therapy and solution-focused therapy to empower clients, by providing them with tools, to facilitate the behavioral changes that they desire. In working with me, clients will be provided a safe and nonjudgmental space to process their life experiences, explore their identities, and set up goals that will promote their social, mental, and emotional wellness and enable them to live their most fulfilling life.
