Description

Hello, my name is Katrina (she/they). I am a Black queer therapist dedicated to providing affirming and trauma-informed care for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized individuals. My approach to therapy is intersectional, strengths-based, and solution-focused, helping clients process life’s challenges, reclaim their narratives, and step into their fullest selves.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and healing from racial and intergenerational trauma. I also support individuals navigating self-esteem, boundary-setting, life transitions, and the emotional toll of systemic oppression. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and empowered in ways that honor their lived experiences.

My treatment and intervention approaches incorporate Relational Cultural Therapy, mindfulness, body-centered practices, and solution-focused methods that challenge oppressive systems while honoring cultural wisdom. I believe healing is deeply personal and should be adaptable to each individual’s needs, whether it involves deep introspection, reclaiming joy, finding stillness, or simply having a safe space to be.

Outside of therapy, I am on a personal journey of movement and self-discovery, embracing flexibility (both in life and body) and living with intention. As I prepare to incorporate travel and exploration into my lifestyle, I am passionate about expanding access to therapy beyond borders and helping clients cultivate resilience, self-compassion, and the freedom to define healing on their own terms.
