Hello, I am Karli and I'm excited you have found my page. When our lives become difficult, it can cause us to feel disconnected from those around us and our own personal sense of being. We can feel alone and without power over many aspects of our lives. When this happens, finding connection can be scary, but can also be as simple as reaching out. By working together, we can find the best way to overcome your personal circumstances, achieve your goals and create a life that you can enjoy.
I specialize in culturally-competent and evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment concerns, and trauma-related disorders. I am focused on an interpersonal approach with each client, holding the firm belief that the therapeutic relationship is the most healing aspect and driving force of change within therapy. I maintain my ability to recognize that there is no “one size fits all” in any therapeutic approach and will pick or combine therapeutic modalities that best align with the clients presenting concerns and goals.
I have a strong background in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy.
I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As a lifelong learner, I have attended many continuing education workshops each year, and read books and professional journals related to mental health, therapy, nutrition and wellness and will continue to do so as long as I practice, in order to expand my knowledge to best suit all client’s needs under my care. Please don't hesitate to reach out to begin your journey to wellness!
