Karen Brown has a motto “Once you know better, turn back and give greater”. Ms. Brown is a multi-cultural, ordained minister, licensed clinical psychotherapist, entrepreneur, mentor, and trainer. Her pursuit is to integrate Christian theology with brain-based neuroscience and clinical competencies. She believes, “We are part of the human family, with unique spiritual, societal and mental health needs, as unique as an individualized thumbprint. Navigating life can be challenging…down right hard. It's often filled with unforeseen obstacles and life-altering events. Finding answers to life's problems can leave you feeling overwhelmed, powerless, and alone.” Her therapeutic and integrative approach is designed to dismantle unconscious, impulsive and unresolved behavior by combining a holistic approach to spiritual mindfulness, health/healing, life development and career pursuits. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a multi-cultural, Ordained Minister (ORDM), she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ms. Brown is the founder of The Acts 120 Group, a faith-based organization dedicated to the impact of spiritual, clinical and brain-based methodologies within a global marketplace. The organization’s goal is the full restoration of inner self, inter-generational and societal relationships. The organization specializes in multi-cultural, strength-based approach to trauma, careers, life balance and spirituality. She utilizes a neuroscientific & brain-based competencies to improve self-esteem, family systems, substance abuse, co-dependency and eating disorders. Ms. Brown is also partnership with The Barnabas Center for Counseling. It is a Christ-centered agency which offers individual, marriage, and family therapeutic services. Her previous work experience included working as a APEX therapist with the Georgia APEX Chatham Program which offered school-based therapy for K-12 students in the McIntosh and Savannah-Chatham County Public school systems; a Psychotherapist with The Meadows Magnolia Recovery Center, an in-patient substance abuse program located in Hilton Head, South Carolina and a clinical therapist with Heads-Up Guidance Services, a faith-based agency which offers individual, couples, youth and family therapeutic services.

Ms. Brown is a member of Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor Society, Licensed Professional Counselors Association, National Board of Certified Counselors and Savannah Mental Health Clinicians. Ms. Brown has published an article entitled “Spirituality in Recovery“ for the Meadows Magnolia Recovery Center in Wickenburg, AZ. Ms. Brown has presented with Goodwill Industries of The Coastal Empire, Heads-Up Guidance Service and Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. Ms. Brown currently resides in Savannah, Georgia and is listed with Psychology Today and has a 96% approval rating with Better Health mental health services.
