Jungle Gem aims to dismantle the stigma of mental health by providing quality mental health care through holistic approaches. We integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention, trauma informed practices, Reiki energy healing and mindfulness to support you in recognizing the GEMS you already have and identifying new ones. We support BIPOC athletes, adolescents, women and men ages 18-35, with challenges navigating anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, life transitions and adjustments. It is our intention to create a space where you see yourself as the GEM in your journey.
I’m a former student athlete and semi-pro basketball player with 6+ years working in the mental health field as a licensed independent clinical social worker and a Reiki healer. I show up as my full self, and always invite you to do the same. Reaching out for support isn’t always the easiest thing to do, but I hope you will take that leap. You are worth it.
One of the bravest things you can do is take time to understand your own story and be courageous in changing the direction of that story. Healing is not linear but know that you are worthy and capable of navigating this wild jungle of life while feeling seen, heard, understood and supported. Jungle Gem looks forward to supporting you!
