Description
Many of the women I work with are carrying a lot—professionally, personally, relationally, and emotionally. You may be the one others depend on, the one who keeps showing up, the one who figures things out, even when you are tired, overwhelmed, overthinking, or quietly wondering, “What about me?”
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, workplace challenges, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, family expectations, identity shifts, and major life or career transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel stretched thin on the inside. You may be managing responsibilities that feel heavy, stuck in patterns that once helped you cope but no longer support the life you are trying to build, or trying to make important decisions while carrying everyone else's needs in the background.
In therapy, we slow things down enough to understand what is happening beneath the stress, emotional responses, and repeated patterns. Together, we work toward greater self-understanding, healthier boundaries, clearer decisions, more effective responses under pressure, and changes that feel sustainable and aligned with who you are becoming.
I also work with couples who feel stuck in the same arguments, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to move forward together. You may be trying to communicate, but conversations quickly turn into frustration, distance, silence, defensiveness, or the feeling that you are speaking two different languages. In couples counseling, we focus on identifying the patterns underneath conflict, strengthening communication, rebuilding emotional connection, and developing practical ways to relate to one another with greater understanding and intention.
My name is Julie "Jaye" Williams, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and National Certified Counselor based in Texas. My work is grounded in evidence-informed approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, IFS-informed work, attachment-based therapy, and relationship-focused models. I am Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 2 Trained, a PREPARE/ENRICH Certified Facilitator, and a Twogether in Texas provider.
I also bring a unique lens to therapy through my background in personality awareness, conflict resolution, adaptability, and mediation. When helpful, I integrate these perspectives to help clients better understand themselves, their relationships, and the dynamics that show up in families, partnerships, friendships, and professional environments.
My approach is practical, collaborative, affirming, and focused on meaningful change—not simply temporary relief. Whether you are seeking individual therapy or couples counseling, my goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, challenged when helpful, and supported as you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.
I also provide clinical supervision for Texas LPC Associates — individual and group, in person in Arlington or by telehealth statewide, with practice-building support woven in. Learn more at www.jwcounselingtx.com/lpc-supervision.
