Description

Greetings and congrats on taking an important step towards caring for yourself by seeking mental health support. In these uncertain times this is essential.
We are at a time where there is so much upheaval that we don't always know what is next. It can feel hard to make sense of a lot of things right now. These unexpected shifts may cause instability, difficult emotions and trigger past trauma and unresolved hurts that can stand in the way of your daily responsibilities. There can also be many overlapping challenges between family, intimate relationships, historical racial/generational and systemic racism, and other isms in many aspects of life. Between juggling family/work, career/life balance, elder concerns, financial hardship, grief/loss, and medical issues, life can become a never-ending stress of navigating priorities.
If you are feeling stuck, lost, overwhelmed, angry, lonely, frustrated, and uninterested in activities that you formerly enjoyed; and disruption in your life and dreams continue to occur, lets partner to meet your mental health goals toward healing.
Throughout our partnership, integrative evidence-based practices with guidance, and support, while working collaboratively in a safe space, will identify obstacles to achieving those goals and working toward your highest self. As we uncover your past and present life experiences and challenges, we will explore their effects on your life trajectory with the aim of unpacking maladaptive thoughts, and behaviors that may interfere with your intentions. I integrate motivational interviewing with cognitive behavioral, trauma informed, acceptance and commitment, emotionally focused and solution focused brief therapies. Throughout our work together in a safe space, we will access your internal strengths, enhance coping mechanisms, and outline methods of self-care by holistically addressing mind, body, and spirit. We will also work on building insight to healing, while acquiring skills to improve your outlook on life.
I have been working over 20 years with populations of various developmental stages in several professional settings.
