As a therapist, I hold two things as healing guides: The wisdom of the creative mind and the power of the clinical relationship. I bring a heart-centered, warm, and intuitive approach to therapy by honoring the relationship between soul, self, and the systemic structures in our lives. Holistic by nature, I facilitate experiences in the therapy room that account for the light and shadow present within each of us, often leading to a deep reverence for the challenges life presents.
Passionate about supporting those with intersectional identities, my practice focuses on creative people of color experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. With a background as a writer, I bring an awareness of the pressures, worries, and joys creative arts professionals encounter. My love for creative expression is alive within my clinical work through the use of symbolism, explorations of how the subconscious mind colors the external world, and guiding clients toward their innate ancestral knowing. Trained in treating PTSD and sexual trauma, I tend to intergenerational wounds and the effects trauma can have on one’s lineage. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR trauma therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy), utilizing this somatic modality when words fail to do us justice.
I see individuals and am currently working towards licensure under the employment of Jennifer Walters, LMFT, and the supervision of Sarah Callender, LCSW. My fee per session is $165 and I am currently accepting new clients.
Often our life pulls at us when it is time to turn inward and tend to our soul’s deepest needs. Should you be experiencing this pull, reach out for a 15-minute consultation to see if I’m the right companion for your journey.
