Description
I’m Jordan Beckum, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, a licensed therapist in Georgia and South Carolina, wellness consultant, and the founder of Mind Over Matter Wellness & Consulting. I work with Black women and girls who are ready to reconnect with themselves, strengthen their inner voice, and move toward a life that feels aligned and sustainable.
I came to this work through a deep respect for people’s capacity to grow, even in seasons when that feels distant. My approach centers on helping you understand the patterns shaping your thoughts, relationships, and choices while building clarity, confidence, and self-trust. Clients often describe our work together as grounding and affirming, with space to slow down, feel seen, and actively participate in their healing.
My clinical work integrates mindfulness, trauma-informed care, CBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused strategies, and somatic awareness. Together, we explore emotions and experiences with care, identify long-standing patterns, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with intuition and emotional needs in a supportive, judgment-free space.
I support teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, identity exploration, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I am deeply committed to serving Black and Brown individuals and to creating affirming spaces that honor culture, identity, and lived experience. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I welcome conversations around race, sexuality, spirituality, and identity.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy baking, running races for the photos, building eclectic playlists, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I am also a writer and the author of Where I Have Been, available on Amazon.
I am currently accepting new virtual therapy clients in Georgia and South Carolina. It would be an honor to support you as you move through your healing journey.
