Congratulations on taking the next step in your journey of healing. This journey is challenging but most importantly, rewarding and life changing. My name is Jolisa Castell and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in West Palm Beach, FL. I have my Bachelors in Psychology graduating from The Great Bethune Cookman University and my Masters degree in Social Work from Barry University. I have over 6 years of experience providing services in a variety of settings to diverse youth and their families. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation specializing in CBT Therapy, Trauma Informed therapy, Psychoeducation, behavioral modification, Play Therapy, TF-CBT , mindfulness and relaxation.
My areas of expertise include: stress, trauma, behavior, childhood trauma anxiety and depression, grief and loss, family/relationship issues and personal growth. I am certified to provide trauma-informed therapy.
I will provide my clients a safe space where they will be able to explore their challenges, learn ways to manage their responses to those challenges, and strengthen their resilience. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership in which the client is the expert and will be expected to put in the effort for homework, be accountable, and present within the counseling alliance. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe environment where we can explore your primary interests, develop goals and determine strengths and assets as you move toward your aspirations.
