As a mom and a woman of color I understand first- hand the desire and need to feel safe and secure. With this in mind my passion and goal has been to create a safe space for women to say all of the unsaid and to process the unseen. The journey throughout womanhood is colored by one’s experiences along the way. I believe that these experiences are woven together and lead us to our greatest sense of self. I obtained my Masters of Art in Mental Health Counseling at Nyack College in New York. I have spent over 10 years of my career supporting women, children, and families who are survivors of
sexual trauma, human trafficking, domestic violence, and victims of a crime. I am also passionate about supporting women through their fertility journey and perinatal mental health.
I describe my approach as meeting my clients with empathy and not judgement. I help my clients first identify what their needs and goals are. I also hold a therapeutic space so my clients
don’t have to do it alone. I utilize Mindfulness, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts and even a little humor when needed!
