Jinjoo Kang is a Licenced Mental Health Counselor. She sees therapy as a place to come to understand your thoughts and emotions in a mindful, open and accepting way. She believes that her role is to support people as they build new habits - like celebrating small victories, leaning into creativity and mulling over new ways of thinking.
Jinjoo’s warm and easy going nature helps her form genuine therapeutic relationships that create a supportive environment where people who often have trouble expressing themselves in their everyday lives are able to talk freely. She believes that this creates a pathway that allows her to help people change at their own pace; a uniquely gentle approach to evidence based practices such as CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused & Mindfulness based therapy. She is committed to providing culturally sensitive treatment that considers the impact of individual multiple identities on one's view of life.
In addition to her work with adults, Jinjoo is also particularly skilled at working with children, teens and families. She enjoys using creative arts to take a playful approach to help kids build skills they need to calm fears, be confident in themselves and foster positive relationships.
