Description
“I have come to believe that caring for myself is not self-indulgent. Caring for myself is an act of survival.” -Audre Lorde I believe the most meaningful form of self-care is a commitment to self-growth and healing. Your relationship with yourself shapes your experience of the world and others, you deserve for it to be a healthy one. Together we can work towards deepening your understanding of your experiences, identifying patterns, and creating a plan for change that honors your needs. I approach therapy from a client-centered, relational lens and believe that all people inherently have the ability to heal.
Using a trauma-informed and strengths-based framework, my goal is to create a therapeutic environment that empowers you towards growth on your own terms. I believe that the therapeutic relationship we co-create is critically important to the achievement of your identified goals.
I prioritize a holistic perspective of clients that understands how social identities interact with systems of oppression. I recognize my client’s presenting challenges within the larger context of these pervasive structures. This fuels my anti-oppressive work which emphasizes a therapy environment in which you feel seen, heard and respected.
