With over 10 years of mental health experience through her education, professional practice, and lived experiences, Jessica Brown, LICSW specializes in serving BIPOC and multiracial adolescents and adults seeking to heal from trauma, depression, and/or anxiety utilizing eclectic therapeutic methods including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Trauma-Focused CBT; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Further, she is a trained facilitator in Prepare/Enrich for premarital and marriage counseling.
She received her Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies.
In 2018, Jessica was honored as Huff Post's "10 Black Female Therapists You Should Know." As her practice's namesake "Nia," Jessica's goal is to destigmatize mental health in BIPOC communities to gain power and purpose in their plights while using their stories to empower our collective community.
