There is no substitute for self-care. I help people address the “elephant in the room” because elephants need love too. What is your “elephant”? By creating space for curiosity and self-compassion, we can begin to navigate life’s mazes. Through the therapeutic process of learning and unlearning, telling your story, identifying the stories we’ve been told (stories we tell ourselves) - about our bodies, our sexuality, and our experiences - we can begin the process of healing and improving our quality of life. The “elephant in the room” needs love too because what we choose not to speak about, will inevitably speak for us.
My style of therapy is rooted in a collective of approaches - narrative therapy, internal family systems, somatic experiencing and attachment based theories are merely tools to help with your healing process. The a-ha moments tend to come directly from you and your inner wisdom. I am here to support your process by holding space with compassion and being attentive to the processing of your experiences.
