Description
Hi, my name is Jennifer Hyppolite, licensed mental health counselor associate in the state of Washington. I offer in-person and virtual therapy.
I am of Haitian decent and speak Creole. My ethnic background allows me to connect with clients on a cross-cultural level. I'm also able to use a Christ-centered lens during sessions as my faith helps guide our time together.
I use a person-centered/humanistic approach to counseling. I focus on the individual and their ability to reach their highest potential. With this approach, my clients have the freedom to guide our time together.
My specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, codependency, women’s issues, adolescent issues (ages 13-18), racial identity issues, family conflict, and spirituality.
Some of the modalities of therapy I use include Emotion-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as Existential Therapy.
I would love to work with you if you are looking for a counselor who genuinely cares and uses cultural humility, empathy, and unconditional positive regard to build a strong counselor-client relationship. Feel free to call or email me for a risk-free consultation!
