Description
I believe the client is the master of her/his life. However when there is a gap in the client’s level of happiness, it is time for change. Collaborative work in the therapeutic relationship facilitates a positive change towards a solution. My areas of specialty include children, adolescents, young adults, attachment, anxiety and depressive symptoms, conflict resolution, anger management, stress, individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, self-esteem, identity, coping skills, grief &loss, trauma, stress, relationships, life transitions, and women’s issues.
My approach incorporates techniques from evidence-based practices such as CBT/DBT (connecting thoughts, feelings, and behavior), ARC (talking through trauma), and Mindfulness (learning to be in the present moment).
