Jenelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Empathic Therapy Services. She is passionate about supporting clients who have experienced trauma(s) and want to heal from its negative impact on their self-image, relationships, emotion management, etc. What is trauma? According to the American Psychological Association, trauma is defined as any disturbing experience that results in significant fear, helplessness, dissociation, confusion, or other disruptive feelings intense enough to have a long-lasting negative effect on a person’s attitudes, behavior, and other aspects of functioning (https://dictionary.apa.org/trauma).
Jenelle supports clients in practicing necessary tools to have a more balanced life. She has nine years of experience providing trauma-informed care to adolescents, adults, and families. A collaboration of evidence-based practices (ie. Cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing), clients’ strengths, and a healthy therapeutic relationship are used to promote change. Other areas of specialty include attachment, anxiety and depressive symptoms, conflict resolution, anger management, stress, identity, coping skills, grief & loss, stress, life transitions, and women’s issues.
Empathic Therapy Services is a telehealth-based private practice. Insurance is not accepted; however, I can provide a superbill. Also, services can be paid by credit card and FSA.
