You’ve already taken the first step, which can be the hardest. Now that you’re here, what is it that you want to change? What is it that you want to do differently? Let’s discuss, and work together to begin your change process.
As we proceed through life’s journey we are constantly changing while being shaped and molded by our environment and our experiences. I truly believe that the therapy experience is one that anyone can benefit from.
My approach to therapy includes both, a strength-based and a patient centered approach. Therefore, while working with you as your therapist, together we would explore your potential, abilities, and aspirations, using these as your platform for growth, recovery, healing, and change. I want to hear your story, to include your values, preferences, and needs - as these will be used to drive your therapy process.
Believe me, I understand therapy can be quite uncomfortable and intimidating. As your therapist, it will be of upmost importance to me to ensure we establish trust and develop a good rapport, allowing you to feel comfortable and safe in a nonjudgmental space.
I obtained my Master of Social Work Degree from Louisiana State University and received my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University. I am currently an LMSW pursuing my LCSW under the supervision of Zahara Williams, LCSW-S. During my 24 years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of helping adults enhance their lives in many areas; to include navigating challenges involving substance addiction, gambling, and relationships. In addition, I’ve worked in leadership roles pertaining to clinical operations, clinical compliance, and clinical quality. I’ve co-authored four books geared toward pre-marital couples:
• The Road to We: Premarital Small Group Leader’s Guide
• The Road to We: Premarital Couple’s Workbook
• The Road to We: A Husband in the Making
• The Road to We: A Wife in the Making
I’m so looking forward to hearing from you. Contact me today for a free consultation. Let’s begin this new journey together.
