Jasmyn Moore is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Capella University. Jasmyn specializes in working with couples struggling with their relationship, communication, infidelity, sexual intimacy concerns, and overall connection. She also has a passion for working with individuals and families struggling with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, relational conflict, self-esteem/self identity challenges, trauma and major life changes. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge and promoting mental health awareness throughout her community and beyond by participating in speaking engagements, panels, workshops, church events, and podcasts.
Jasmyn’s Christian faith guides her life’s purpose and supports her belief that we are all meant to be healed, restored and whole in spirit, mind, and body. She offers her clients an opportunity, if they choose, to bring their spirituality into the therapy space.
As an African-American therapist, Jasmyn understands the significance in providing validation and understanding to clients of color. It is important for her to provide a space for them to be vulnerable. She recognizes that she shares in their perspective of living as a minority in society. Jasmyn is eager to help clients overcome the stigma of therapy and restore the mistrust in the mental health field that clients of different cultural backgrounds may have. She offers a free 15 minute phone or video consultation to determine if she may be a good fit for you.
As a part of her self-care, Jasmyn looks for fun ways to stay active and she enjoys traveling with her family and friends. She also spends her free time attending concerts, comedy shows, and bingeing her favorite historical, romance, and reality tv dramas.
