I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in the field of Social Work. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and an undergraduate certificate in Gerontology from Georgia State University and I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. My experience lies primarily in working with the aging population and their families/caregivers to include working with individuals with chronic illnesses in the primary care setting, hospice care (both community and inpatient) where I helped to provide comfort, assistance, and end-of-life care to those with terminal illnesses and assistance and emotional support to the family and caregivers. I also have experience working with individuals with severe mental illness in a community setting to assist them in reaching and maintaining optimal living. My primary focus areas in therapy are chronic disease management, stress management, goal- setting, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. My goal is to help my clients find understanding of themselves that helps gain clarity and lead to positive life changes.
