Description
I am Ja’el Wright, an Associate Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Claflin University, the oldest and boldest historically black university in the state of South Carolina. I obtained my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.
I have experience working with individuals in a community setting that struggle with severe mood disorders such as Bipolar, substance use disorders, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and severe trauma. I have also worked with clients who have intellectual disabilities.
I strive to provide my clients with a supportive and warm environment using a holistic and integrative approach to specialize treatment that best fits each individual and family. I also offer spiritual counseling for those seeking to incorporate spirituality into their mental health recovery.
I am passionate about working with adults, couples, and families seeking to find meaning, peace, passion, and purpose through mental health recovery. I am especially passionate about working with first-generation, high-achieving black and brown women who battle depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations. I am also passionate about working with black and brown couples seeking to start families and resolve marital issues, and black and brown families exhibiting the effects of transgenerational trauma.
