My name is JacQue’ Timberlake (I prefer to be called Jay) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I received my bachelor’s degree at Pittsburg State University in 2015. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Webster University in 2019. I am also currently achieving a doctorate in Forensic Psychology at Walden University.
In 2018, I began counseling clients of all ages. During that time, I worked part-time at a private practice in Kansas City, Missouri called New Hope Counseling Center. I also worked as a Family and Youth Specialist for the University of Kansas Hospital where I worked with children between the ages of 4 to 18. As a Family and Youth Specialist, I developed a working knowledge of childhood trauma and how to conduct psycho-educational therapy groups to support each patient’s treatment plan. From 2019 to current, as both a Qualified Mental Health Professional and LPC Associate, I have gracefully gained the experience and ability to provide counseling services to a variety of populations, including juveniles and adults who are involved with the judicial system.
As a counselor, I will provide an empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment for my clients. I will help individuals process and manage their anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns and additional mental health difficulties. I hope to be a resource to help my clients break their cycle of pain and discover their inner strength by setting goals to achieve lifelong happiness. Altogether, I will help you, your children and adolescents elicit positive change and thrive in your life and relationships.
