Hello! I am Ime Ekong, owner of Salubrious Psychological Services, in Pembroke Pines, FL. I have a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.
I work with adults of all ages. I believe in the importance of individualized and holistic care. Psychological treatment first begins with clearly understanding and identifying the clients’ goals and establishing a treatment plan based on those individualized goals. I respect the unique aspects of every person I treat and recognize that no one treatment will work for every person. As such, my therapeutic approach includes collaborating with my clients to establish a plan of care which best suits their needs. I utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and somatics therapies to address a wide array of client issues. My client base includes individuals with chronic medical conditions, depression, anxiety, bereavement concerns, and stage of life issues.
My goal as a psychologist is to provide culturally-competent care which seeks to alleviate psychological distress in clients. I seek to promote a positive sense of self as well as connectedness with others while developing sense of meaning and purpose in life. I work with clients to engage in healthy behaviors and promote better functioning and satisfaction in various areas of their lives.

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida. Additionally, I have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission. I provide telehealth (online video therapy) to adults living in the 42 participating PSYPACT states listed below.
