Description
My hope is that you find a therapist that feels like a warm hug and a firm nudge toward your goals. I do this by partnering with folks to create a safe relationship built on trust and mutual learning.
It is my pleasure to collaborate with Black/People of Color, youth, those in any part of the child welfare system, people experiencing trauma, stress, anxiety, sadness, struggling with life's transitions, parenting, pregnancy, postpartum, grief/loss in relationships, personal growth and wellness.
My approach includes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths Based interventions. Each of these are strategies that provide us tools to reach our wanted outcomes.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from California State University, Long Beach. My experience includes partnering with children and families who are recovering from the impact of the child welfare system, as well as people navigating grief/loss in life. I also have the honor of educating social work students at my alma mater. Go Beach!
I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, bowling, axe-throwing, walking, trying new food spots, and resting.
