Thanks for viewing my page. I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker with 25 years of counseling experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tuskegee University and a Masters in Social Work degree from Clark-Atlanta University. I have an insatiable thirst for life and welcome the challenges that often hydrate the opportunity for personal growth. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, and Psycho-Analytic treatment modalities in my day-to-day delivery of counseling services. I believe in a strengths based approach that is holistic, eclectic, and guided by the individual needs of my clients. My counseling experience has been obtained within a wide range of counseling settings including outpatient substance abuse, medical social work, and community based counseling.
I have a broad range of experience working with individuals and groups across the life span. My theory is that growth is the outcome of our ability to reorganize our perceptions, thoughts, and attitudes and literally show up to receive all of the amazing gifts that the universe has in store for us. I enjoy singing and song writing and believe that the incorporation of artistic expression into the therapeutic process is extremely cathartic; thus allowing us the opportunity for a more open and honest level of communication.
