Description
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that is passionate about walking alongside Black women and helping them heal. I am particularly focused on helping people to move away from chronic stress and perfectionism, and helping people to process through church hurt and other negative religious experiences.
I've seen and experienced the pain and exhaustion from giving ourselves to everyone around us, and then not having the energy to fill ourselves back up. I'm thankful that many women are pushing back against the idea that Black women are superwomen. But it's not easy to act in way that is the opposite of how you've been functioning for so long and how society says you should be. My goal is to help give you the tools and strength you need to do things differently and to help you get your strength and energy back.
My approach involves looking at how your family and other past experiences have shaped you to be who you are today and whatever cycles you find yourself in that you want to change. I'll work with you to identify the thought patterns that keep you in those cycles and help you to create a shift in your perspective so that you can break free from them. You can expect a safe environment where you can show up as your authentic self and find freedom.
