Description
Is life feeling difficult right about now? Could you use someone to talk to outside of your family and friends? I'm here for you. I am a licensed psychologist and hold my doctorate in Counseling Psychology along with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. With this, I have experience working with a myriad of concerns but my most common ones are: family conflict, relational issues, self-esteem/confidence, depression, anxiety, life transitions and identity exploration. If one or many of these issues resonate with you, I am here to provide some support and maybe even offer new insight into your situation.
I believe that the root of a problem can be traced back to the family system. I integrate Family Systems and Relational Cultural theories, working to understand you within the context of your family, culture and environment. After an exploration of your problems, I integrate techniques from CBT/DBT to help address problematic thinking patterns and behavior.
I view the therapeutic relationship as an essential component of therapy and work to build a strongly attuned relationship through mutual empathy, connecting through humor and ensuring that you feel seen, valued, and heard. I am looking forward to learning more about you and supporting you through this journey.
