Description

I am a licensed psychologist in GA with over 20 years of experience in the helping profession and 13+ years as a psychologist. I specialize in healing trauma and PTSD, stress management, and couples therapy. I offer individual, couples, and group therapy. I provide therapy to adults via Zoom in multiple states and DC.

Whether you're wanting to do some intensive trauma work, improve your intimate partner relationship, process stressful life events, have a safe place to talk and process life in a therapeutic way, receive maintenance therapy appointments, or are interested in group therapy, I can help you reach your goals. Therapy is a collaborative process.

My focus in working with my patients is to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the model for all others. The accountability, boundaries, compassion, honesty, mutual respect, willingness to learn about self and the other, openness to change and be challenged, and the work done in therapy can transfer to how you relate to others. This can improve your intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships. It can change your life!

Research has proven that one of the best indicators of therapy outcomes is the therapeutic relationship; if you've tried therapy before and it didn't yield what you wanted, try again. The right fit of you and your therapist is key! That's why I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see if we're a good fit to work together. In the comments or via email, let me know if you'd prefer a phone or or Zoom consultation appointment.

We will do the work together by examining unhealthy thoughts that may be keeping you stuck and from living life as freely as you desire. You may be hindered by the effects of trauma, childhood experiences, hurtful relationships, depression, anxiety, the expectations’ of others, the weight of responsibilities, roles, tasks, etc. Whatever the root of the chains holding you back, we will work to identify them, dismantle them, and empower you to live life on YOUR terms.

I take a wholistic approach to therapy by incorporating the mind, body, and spirit in my work with patients. If you do not adhere to organized religion or spirituality, that’s OK. We can incorporate whatever resonates with your spirt; be it music, nature, animals, etc.

I use the most effective therapies and treatments (Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Couple Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure (PE)). I’ve invested in learning from the best in order to provide my patients with the most effective therapies. Working with an experienced and skilled mental health professional will help you garner the results you seek.

I am gradually returning to the office. If you want to meet in person, the office I use is in the Cumberland area. You may be asked to wear a mask as there may not be 6 feet of space between us. You must also sign a COVID waiver.

See the various groups I offer below.

FINANCIAL INVESTMENT:
I offer a 25% discount to Healthcare Workers, Military, Veterans, Public Safety, & Teachers.

I DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE, but you may be able to use out-of-network benefits if allowed by your plan, use flexible spending account (FSA) or health spending account (HSA) funds. I am also willing to work out an investment amount that fits your financial situation to remove this potential barrier. You will need to provide financial documentation for requested reduced investment rates. My general investment rate is $250 for 60 minutes of individual therapy.

There is no magic wand. You will work whether in individual, couple, or group therapy.

Change and growth can be uncomfortable. That’s OK.

Living life as your authentic self is a greatness we can achieve if we work at it.

Are you ready for change? Are you ready for greatness?
