As a Black Love connoisseur, Fanny strongly believes that black love is rooted in resilience and hope and healing. Black Love starts from within and works itself throughout friendships, familial relationships, and marriage. Fanny Sesay’s greatest passion is bringing clarity and healing to people fighting for better love and better relationships.
With over seven years of experience, Fanny specializes in working with Black young adults, families, and couples, emphasizing on self-love , empowerment and education. Fanny’s style is warm and includes providing a therapeutic space for black women and women of color using a social justice lens. Fanny believes that the client is the expert in their lives.
Her educational background includes a Master’s in social work, a concentration in Integrated Youth Behavioral Health, and a BA in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. Fanny currently works with adolescents focusing on teenage pregnancy, gender affirming care and adolescent mental health. Fanny spent years mentoring young women of color through non-profit work. Fanny is skilled in Cognitive Behavior Therapy , Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing and solutions-focused therapy. Fanny uses these frameworks to personalize each client’s treatment plan; creating the perfect vibe for ALL love to flourish.
