Are you a caretaker experiencing depression, stress or resentment towards your loved one? Have you been actively using substances or had a recent slip in use after years of being in recovery? Do you find yourself engaging in emotional eating or caloric restriction? Are you in need of emotional support after terminating a pregnancy? Has something occurred that caused you to start anew? Do you need a supportive ear that will listen and allow you to express your thoughts and feelings? Are you seeking skills to help you cope with everyday issues? Asking for help can be scary, but trying to go it alone can be even scarier.
Collectively, I have 9 years of direct care experience with mental health (eating, mood/anxiety, personality, etc) and substance use disorders. I have worked with children, teens and adults at various levels of care to assist them with building the skills needed to navigate through life events.
I foster a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment for my clients. As a mental health professional, I recognize the importance of providing clients with the best possible care. I incorporate an eclectic approach to treatment to ensure that each client has their own individualized treatment plan.
I am a licensed therapist in Maryland and North Carolina. I am currently accepting new clients at my Maryland practice, Chatterbox Counseling & Therapeutic Services, LLC, for online (video) counseling. I work with adults who may be struggling with mental health symptoms and/or life transitions. My main areas of focus are: caregiver burnout, post abortion support, substance use, eating disorders, relationship issues, and other mental health conditions. My role in therapy is to assist you in your healing process by offering a supportive, nurturing, and non-judgmental perspective. I offer evening and weekend appointments.
