I received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University and a Masters Degree from The University of Georgia. I have been working as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist for over three years. During that time, I have worked in schools, community health agencies, and hospitals. I have worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and families using a collaborative and holistic approach. My theoretical approach is predominately person centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I focus on building on your strengths in order to assist you with overcoming life’s challenges while simultaneously finding a peace of mind. I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults who struggle with mood disorders, family conflict, anxiety, poor self-esteem, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, ADHD and many other challenges that occurs across life span. My goal is to help your child learn coping skills that will aid them in living healthy productive lives.
Deciding to begin therapy could be one of the most challenging decisions you face for you and your family. However, it is important to know that you are not alone. The phrase “it takes a village” is very near and dear to my heart. The therapeutic process is unique and collaborative. This means that we will work together and pull in all the resources and people necessary to help your child. My style is fun and open, which is important when working with youth. The goal is to get them interested so that they become invested, once they are invested, they grow! I am passionate about my work and continue to find it exciting and rewarding to witness the healing and growth inherent in the therapeutic journey.
I provide therapy though video telemental health. I find that this makes it easier to provide services to those with busy schedules, lack of transportation, or those who may be in rural underserved areas. Looking forward to working with you to help your child be the best they can be.
