Life happens & therapy helps! Therapy is a safe space to release unwanted thoughts, feelings & emotions while gaining a new perspective & learning new behaviors to help you live your life just as you have envisioned. In our busy lives, we tend to avoid or not even notice our feelings until they suddenly demand our attention. I will encourage you to mindfully move into these (sometimes uncomfortable) feelings, when honored and released, they can be fantastic guides. I am a client centered, strength based therapist that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused therapies. I work with individuals, couples, and families.
When I work with clients, I spend time understanding in a deep and connected way how you are experiencing your life. With support and non-judgmental curiosity, I will look below the surface. I may examine family of origin dynamics, core beliefs you hold about yourself and where you may have learned them, values you have and how your choices do or do not support them, and when and how you limit yourself or get in your own way.
It is paramount that the relationship between us feels supportive and serves as a container in which you can explore honestly, freely and bravely. It is my priority to make therapy a space where you feel seen and understood. Meeting this priority factors prominently into the work.
