Welcome! Creating Connections is a culturally sensitive practice, and our therapists are passionate about helping. My name is Ebony Carter, I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker in the State of New York. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Long Island University. I also have over ten years of experience in social services field including counseling, case management and advocacy within the child welfare systems, non-profit organizations, and community-based settings. My approach to counseling is to meet the clients where they are at and to help foster the healing process. I understand that making the decision to start therapy is a difficult one. I am here for you, to help and work beside you to develop a plan to facilitate positive change. I use a client centered approach, which is empathetic and nonjudgmental. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing treatment modalities, which allows for self-awareness and emotional growth. I am a caring person and have a passion to see others win.
