People change. Situations, feelings and needs change. Sometimes it takes a little help to sort things out—not from friends or family, but from an experienced professional. I help people navigate life's changes and transitions, improve communication in their personal relationships, and regain a sense of balance. I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing a shift in their lives, whether it's a woman adjusting to motherhood, mid-life or being newly single; a couple going through a rough patch in their relationship; or a young adult trying to juggle their personal life with a career and new responsibilities.
I primarily utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered and Solution-Focused therapies to help my clients make progress in the areas most important to them. However, each client is unique, so I take great care in getting to know them and the styles they feel most comfortable with.
My therapeutic approach is practical, down to Earth, & non-judgmental. I take pride in being described as calm & easy to talk to. My empathy doesn’t just come from textbooks, but from real life experience. It's important that my clients feel they can speak freely & honestly in our sessions, and know that I will be there to support them every step of the way.
