I am Dr. Toni Boulware Stackhouse a Licensed Therapist for the state of Maryland. I have been working in the area of mental health in many different capacities for over 20 years. I enjoy working with people and helping them to discover their strengths and how to overcome limitations.
Life Matters Wellness Counseling Practice is a wholistic approach to mental stability and wellness. Life happens to us all and when things seem overwhelming you can always count on us to assist you in processing your way through the challenges that you are facing. We believe in partnering with our clients assisting them in achieving optimal mental health through a client centered approach. We assist clients in establishing therapeutic goals and strategies for accomplishing them. We work with individuals, couples and families who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, unhealthy relationships, communication, and conflict. Since our approach is wholistic we address the physical, spiritual, emotional, social aspects of our clients allowing them to make the necessary adjustments to obtain the desired outcomes. Our goal is to help our clients thrive even through life’s challenges. We utilize a trauma informed approach ensuring that our clients feel heard, respected and empowered.
