Description
In practice, I strive to consider the whole person. Believing, as humans, we are emotional, spiritual, and physical beings, each of which impacts the other. Therefore, all should be considered when striving toward overall well-being and a happy frame of mind. Life's stressors can leave us sad, discouraged, uncertain, and struggling to cope with overpowering feelings and circumstances. We all deserve to feel balanced, confident, and whole as we strive to be our best selves.
My goal in practice is to work with each client where you are as an individual. To do this, I believe an integrative approach grounded in neurobiological/brain-based therapies, including Brainspotting, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Art Therapy, person-centered therapy, and pet therapy perspectives, offers flexibility in meeting the client’s specified goals. Importantly, this approach is collaborative, with you, the client, as an expert on your life and me as a psychologist, in developing tools to find balance, change problem behaviors, gain insight, and feel empowered. For my part, I will listen mindfully and openly while assisting you in identifying unhealthy patterns and creating healthier ways of being.
Lasting healing comes from profound self-exploration, insight, a willingness to adapt, and self-acceptance. There are no guarantees or quick fixes; it will take time, grit, and authentic participation from both of us. No amount of therapy can undo the past, but when we are successful, you can live within your truth, fully embracing life's peaks and valleys.
Ultimately, my practice mission is to provide comprehensive psychological evaluations and treatment focusing on the whole person to improve wellness and well-being by utilizing sound ethics, integrity, and respect in applying standardized and evidence-based treatment.
