Dr. Tameca (or Dr. Tea - for her love of tea) is passionate about helping women live lives that feel whole, authentic, fulfilling and free. Dr. Tea provides sex therapy, sexuality education, and mental health services for women and persons in relationships. She received her Bachelor's degree in Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, where she also minored in Women's Studies. She received her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and received her PhD in Human Sexuality Education from Widener University in Chester, PA.
Dr. Tea specializes in supporting women's mental health, sexual health, and intimacy needs, and has worked for over 20 years providing individual, couples, family and sex therapy. She is nationally certified by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) as a Sexuality Educator. Bridging her focus on holistic health and wellness for mental and sexual health, Dr. Tea is also a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Professional (CMHIMP) and uses this knowledge to support clients with depression, anxiety, decreased motivation, sexual intimacy concerns, and more.
With a belief of giving back to the community, Dr. Tea serves on boards and in leadership positions supporting LGTBQ+ and racial/ethnic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work. Dr. Tameca is also a Certified Supervisor for Social Workers in the state of Florida, and is an often sought after speaker, presenter, and facilitator appreciated for her respectful, authentic, and very energetic and engaging presentation style.
