Roxanne Jeffries-Baxter
Dr. Jeffries the founder of BBHS, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of mental health experience. Ms. Jeffries is also a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in three specialties, Gerontology (GNP-BC), Family Practice (FNP-BC), and Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC), from the University of Penn, Drexel University, and Case Western Reserve respectively. Currently, Dr. Jeffries is continuing in the Ph.D. programs at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Jeffries’ research interest is exploring the impact of trauma exposure on Opiate use disorder.
Today Dr. Jeffries practices in outpatient, substance use, and inpatient psychiatric services. On a practice level, Dr. Jeffries is committed to optimizing the health of urban and diverse communities, as well as reducing health disparities by helping diverse persons recover from the disease of addiction, trauma, and mental health disorders. Dr. Jeffries also serves in academia as an adjunct facility in a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP program). Dr. Jeffries maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Delaware, Pennsylvania & Minnesota.
