Hello! My name is Dr. Quiera Lige and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia. With years of experience providing individual and group therapy to clients and patients of diverse backgrounds, it has been an honor to work with individuals during some of the toughest seasons of their lives. Whether you are coping with the loss of a loved one, saying goodbye to a military spouse who is set to deploy, adjusting to becoming a new parent, or managing life after a divorce, therapy can provide a safe and supportive space for you as you navigate the changing seasons of your life.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where I work with my clients to meet them where they are and provide treatments that are effective and individualized. You are the expert on yourself and you already have many coping strategies and tools that can be effective in maintaining good mental health. However, the human experience is one that includes hurt, pain, disappointment, tragedy, loneliness, and despair. Sometimes you need an impartial, unbiased listening ear that can help you identify, process, and come to terms with your emotions and assist you in moving forward to live a fulfilling life. Additionally, at times we are unaware of our own patterns of behaviors that may be negatively impacting our lives and our relationships. Therapy is beneficial in encouraging acknowledgement of those behaviors and determining the best course of action to make positive changes.

Making the decision to start therapy can be a difficult one, particularly, if you are used to being the "strong," "independent," "take care of everyone else but myself," type of woman. I meet with Black women on a daily basis who are overwhelmed and depleted because they give so much of themselves to others. However, they feel as though they cannot seek help for fear of being perceived as weak or crazy. You are neither! Depression, anxiety, panic attacks, sleepless nights, anger/irritability, poor concentration and attention and isolation/avoidance are common responses to feeling burnt out. It's time for change. It's time to set a different course for your life.

Whatever you are facing in life, you do not have to face it alone. If you feel like now is the time to seek support and make positive changes in your life, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you!

Note: I do not accept insurance.
