I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with the emphasizes in Criminal Justice from Norfolk State University (2001), master’s degree in Urban Education - Community Counseling from Norfolk State University (2008), educational specialist degree in Community Counseling from Hampton University (2010), and a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University (2015). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Provider, Human Service – Board Certified Practitioner, and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner.
My areas of expertise include counseling divorcees, post-incarcerated women, those with depression, and/or anxiety, and adolescents dealing with ADHD, ODD, and other mental disorders. I specialize in substance abuse and women issues such as women in high positions coping with a demanding lifestyle. Educating the community about mental disorders and getting the help they need is also an essential part of my profession.
I believe that my purpose is to help others to make a change. I am passionate about empowering women, advocating for mental health, educating the community about mental illnesses, and assisting felons with reintegrating back into society. I have experience with divorce, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and many more areas.
