First and foremost, I want to build a great relationship with you so you know I’m on your side. I know it’s hard to be vulnerable, and I aim to make you feel safe, affirmed, and seen for who you truly are.
Mental health issues, I believe, are fueled by breakdowns in our relationships with ourselves and others. In the psychology world, this view comprises “interpersonal therapy.” I also integrate other approaches, depending on what will be most helpful.
I consider oppression—such as racism, sexism, homophobia, or transphobia—as affecting the well-being of people from marginalized groups. As your therapist, I acknowledge the real and unfair effects of oppression on you and the effects of these experiences on how you see yourself and navigate the world.
I’m a relationships expert, so you can expect that I’ll give you some feedback on how to improve your relationships.
Through working with me, you can expect to:
Diminish your mental health symptoms
Improve relationships with people in your life
Improve your relationships with yourself, your thoughts, and emotions
Gain new insight into yourself and others around you. I’ll help you see yourself and your relationships in a new light.
I do not take insurance and my sessions cost $205.
